Steadfast in Sisterhood
For sisters, Phi Mu can mean many different things. To a new member, joining Phi Mu is having sisters to call day or night and friends you can turn to for anything. It’s having a home away from home. It’s becoming the best version of yourself with sisters cheering you on through some of the most formative years of your life. It’s about traditions and values – but more than that, it’s about sharing a bond with women who want the best for you and see the best in you.
Our Phi Mu Creed calls our members to uphold our values of love, honor and truth by:
- Loving our sisters for who they are and help them grow into the best versions of themselves. Love means that we support each other, care for one another, and are guided by actions that encourage, inspire, and build each other up.
- Honoring our commitments to our sisterhood and to each other. We honor the hearts of our members, and celebrate their different backgrounds, pasts and futures. Honor means that we strive to achieve our best and fight for what we believe in to make the world a better place.
- Striving to create a sisterhood where each sister can live as the truest version of herself. To be truthful is to be honest and authentic; it is doing the right thing, even when it isn’t the easy or popular choice.

Phi Nu's Sisterhood
Phi Mu at its core is a group of professionally and academically driven women who support each other no matter what! We foster the idea that being there for our sisters not only uplifts ourselves but brings light and positivity to our chapter as well. When going through recruitment, I knew I wanted to find a place that would not only show me unwavering love and loyalty, but would push me to be the best version of myself. Phi Mu embodies these ideals and it was very clear to me during recruitment that Phi Mu would be the place for me to find the best version of myself. As a PNM I knew I wanted to be in Phi Mu, I looked up to the women in this chapter and the tight knit sisterhood that they have developed. Ultimately, I have achieved so much in my first year in the chapter through the help of my sisters. As a new member, I was always nervous to speak up, let alone serve a leadership role. Now, one year later I am so grateful to say that it is because of the support of the amazing women around me that I felt supported and embraced to serve on our executive board. We host many sisterhood events throughout the semester! Some sisterhood events our chapter personally loved were puppy yoga, Knicks game, Yankees game, permanent jewelry, trampoline park, making gingerbread houses and so much more! Any event we spend with our sisters is amazing and we always love spending quality time with each other. Phi Mu has created an everlasting bond between all of our sisters that will last for a lifetime <3
